Ownership
CryptoNewsRoom is an independent digital newsroom. The site is privately owned and operated. We are not affiliated with any cryptocurrency exchange, token issuer, public company, political party, or government body. Editorial decisions are made independently of commercial relationships.
How we make money
CryptoNewsRoom is funded through a combination of:
- Display advertising. We run programmatic and direct-sold advertising. Advertisers do not influence editorial coverage. Editorial staff and ad-sales staff operate separately.
- Affiliate revenue. Some links on this site may earn us a commission if a reader signs up for a service. Affiliate links are disclosed where they appear and never influence our editorial assessment of a product.
- Sponsored content. We accept sponsored articles and press releases. All sponsored content is clearly labelled as “Sponsored,” “Press Release,” or “Partnership” at the top of the article and is excluded from our news-sitemap submissions to Google News.
We do not accept payment in exchange for positive coverage, removal of negative coverage, manipulation of price discussion, or paid placement in our news feed.
Editorial independence
- Editorial decisions are made by named editors and writers, not by advertisers or sponsors.
- Advertisers receive no advance notice of stories, no veto power over coverage, and no preferential treatment in editorial coverage.
- Writers disclose any personal financial holdings above a $1,000 threshold in covered assets at the top of the relevant article.
- We maintain an internal firewall between commercial and editorial teams.
