Stablecoin-funded card spending on Solana reached a record $141 million in October, according to Crypto Briefing, citing on-chain data from Paymentscan. The figure extends a run of monthly highs for the network.

The prior month set the previous benchmark: Crypto Briefing reported that $113.9 million in stablecoin-linked card volume settled on Solana in September. A year earlier, the same measure stood at $19.7 million, a 478% gap. October’s preliminary numbers, Crypto Briefing said, could still rise as final tallies complete.

Key facts

  • October card spending funded by stablecoins on Solana reached about $141 million, a record, per Crypto Briefing.
  • September stood at $113.9 million on Paymentscan data, versus $19.7 million a year earlier — a 478% year-over-year increase.
  • RedotPay, a leading card program, generated roughly $402 million in card volume over a recent 30-day window.
  • USDC accounts for about 58% of stablecoin card volume and USDT about 26%, Crypto Briefing reported.
  • Solana’s stablecoin supply has passed $15 billion and peaked near $17.3–17.5 billion in September, with more than 14 million stablecoin-holding addresses by early October.

What is driving the volume

Card programs linked to networks such as Visa give these products merchant acceptance beyond crypto-native venues. Issuer rewards are doing much of the work in attracting users, and Solana’s low fees and throughput suit many small settlements. The currencies involved are almost entirely dollar-denominated.

The wider market is larger still. Total tracked stablecoin card spending across all networks hit a record of about $1.17 billion in September, with some estimates reaching $1.37 billion, according to Crypto Briefing. Solana usually sits third by on-chain volume share, behind Base and Optimism.

Solana has now processed more than $1 billion in stablecoin card volume cumulatively. Crypto Briefing also noted infrastructure work such as a delivery-versus-payment framework for atomic settlement, in which both legs of a trade settle simultaneously or not at all, reducing counterparty risk.

Why it matters

Card spending is the most visible part of a larger stablecoin footprint on Solana. A supply above $15 billion and a base of more than 14 million stablecoin-holding addresses give card issuers a large pool of potential users to draw from. But the activity is concentrated: a handful of card programs and two dollar stablecoins carry most of the flow, so a policy change or disruption at either issuer would quickly show up in these totals.

Separately, Interactive Brokers reported 5.68 million client accounts at the end of October, up 34% year-on-year and 2% month-on-month, according to Finance Magnates. Daily Average Revenue Trades were 4.31 million, down 4% from October 2025 but up 5% from September. Client equity totalled $928.6 billion, up 19% year-on-year but down 4% month-on-month, while client credit balances reached $180.5 billion, up 15% year-on-year and down 3% from September.

What to watch

The next signal is whether November card spending on Solana sets another monthly record or breaks the streak. Also worth tracking: whether Solana closes the gap with Base and Optimism in on-chain volume share, and whether new card partnerships broaden the issuer base beyond today’s leaders.
